Potato Masal

Potatoes,who doesn't love them? Hot pooris are incomplete with out Potato masala with spices they are made for each other. This Potato masal can be stuffed in dosa to make masala dosa.

Ingredients:

5 to 6 Potatoes

2 Cloves

2 Cinnamon Sticks

2 Cardamom

2 Big Onion(Sliced)

1 Small tomato(optional)

3 Garlic (finely chopped)

1/2 inch Ginger (finely chopped)

5 to 6 Green Chilly

2 tsp Basen powder

1 tsp Mustard seeds

1 tsp Chana Dhal

1 tsp Turmeric powder

Required Salt

few curry leaves


Steps to Follow

1. Peel,Wash & pressure cook Potatoes for 3 Whistles

2.Heat a pan & add Mustard seeds, Chana dhal and Curry leaves

3. After few Seconds Sauteing add Cinnamon Sticks,Cardamom & Cloves



4. Add Onion,Ginger,Garlic and Green Chillies (don't fry onion into golden brown colour just saute till raw smell goes)


5.Once Onion is fried add Turmeric powder and salt

6.Add half Glass of water and let it boil.

7.Once,water starts to boil add smashed potatoes and mix well

8. Mix basen powder with little water without lumps and pour it into masala

9.Mix Well and Garnish with Coriander leaves.
