Badam halwa is a classic Indian sweet made with ground almonds, sugar, ghee, cardamoms & saffron. It is extremely rich, delicious & colorful.
Ingredients
Badam - 1 Cup
Sugar - 1 Cup
Boiled Milk - 1/2 Cup
Ghee - 1/2 Cup
Saffron Milk(soak 10 to 12 saffron strings in 2 tsp of warm milk)
Method:
1. Soak badam for 12 hrs
2.Remove the skin and put it in a dry mixie jar
3.Add milk gradually and grind it in to a paste(not too fine or too coarse)
4.Heat a pan with 2 tsp of ghee and add grinded badam paste to the pan and mix it well
5.Let it cook for 10 mins in a low flame and stir the badam
6.When it start's thickened add sugar and mix it well for another 5 to 7 mins
7.Add ghee and mix it well
8.Ad saffron milk and mix it well till the halwa comes out well from the pan without sticking
9.Add 2 tsp of ghee and garnish with chopped pista & badam
