Brown Rice Idly/ Matta Arisi Idly/ Diet Idly

Idly is a healthy breakfast, when its prepared with Brown rice/Matta Arisi is always fulfilled with all the nutrients.


Brown rice is considered a low "glycemic index" food.


Ingredients:

Brown Rice - 4 cup

Ulundhu-1 cup

Vendhayam-1/4 cup

salt to taste


Steps to prepare:

  1. Soak everything for 8 hours or overnight

  2. Drain and blend together

  3. Transfer the batter to a bowl.

  4. Now add salt and Mix well

  5. Grease oil in a idly plate

  6. Pour the batter to the idly plate

  7. Place the idly plate inside the idly pot

  8. Close the idly pot and steam for 10 to 15 mins


Serve the Hot Idly!.
