Idly is a healthy breakfast , which some kids refused to eat.
when we serve with Jam it can be messy too. so when we make idly with Jam swirls keeps us mess-free as well as kids favorite breakfast

Ingredients:
Idly Rice- 1 cup
Urad Dhal- 1/4 cup
Vendhayam- 1 tsp
Jam- 2 tsp
Steps to prepare:
1. Soak the rice , urad dhal and vendhayam for 4 hours or overnight.
2. Grind urad dhal and vendhayam separately.
3. Grind rice separately.
4. Add salt and mix well.
5. Ferment it for 8 hours.
6. For Jam Swirls, take 2 tsp Jam and whisk it in a whisker to form a paste.
7. Once the Jam mix is ready, take a plastic cover or cone to pour the jam mix.
8. Put the Jam inside the cover , tie the cover and keep it aside.
9. Grease the idly plate with oil .
10. Pour the idly batter to the idly plate
11. Now make a small hole to pour the jam mix to the idly batter.
12. Make swirls using jam mix over the idly.
13. Heat the idly pot with water and place the idly plates.
14. Close the lid and steam for 7 to 10 minutes
Serve the Jam Idly!.
