Thaen Mittai | Honey Candy 90s | Petti kadai

Ingredients


Idly rice - 1 Cup

Urad dal - 1/4 Cup

Mavu Javu Arisi - 1 tsp

Orange Food Color

Cooking Soda - 1/4 tsp

A Pinch of Salt


For Sugar Syrup

Sugar - 1 Cup

Water - 1/2 Cup

Few drops of Lemon Juice


Method

1.First wash and soak everything together for 4 hrs.



2.After 4 hrs drain them completely and grind it into little thick paste with a pinch of salt.



3.Add some food colour and Cooking soda.



4.Now,make the syrup

5.In a Pan,add one cup of sugar with half cup of water and stir continuously till it dissolves.

6.Bring it to boil and add lemon juice and set aside.

7.Heat little oil for deep frying.

8.Dip fingers in water and take batter and drop it in oil into small drops.

9.Fry and roll dropped oils in hot oil to get uniformly cooked.

10.Transfer fried balls into sugar syrup.let it rest it for 10 mins.

11.Let the balls soak for about 10 minutes in the sugar syrup.

12.Take the Thaen mittai from sugar syrup and drop it separately in plate for 5 to 10 mins.

13.Now,Juicy Thaen mittai is ready.
